I have always had an extreme desire to dress super simple or wear plenty of accessories and layers all at once. This kind of becomes difficult in the summer though because it is so hot. That is why I typically choose some fun socks with my heels/wedges because my feet are typically the last places that feel the heat. This striped top from Annie Jean Apparel is so light weight and breezy it kept me cool all day (even with a leather utility jacket tied around my waist). I just get so excited about the sun that I can't help but to start looking at places to travel. Dave and I are planning on going to San Francisco but need ideas of some things to do there. Your helpful comments will be much appreciated!

WOOL EXPANSION SKIRT

This is my lovely sister. She is wearing our Wool Expansion Skirt and is looking FABULOUS in it too! This skirt without a question will keep you warm in the winter which is what is needed right now with this freezing weather!

Anyway, for all of you who just started school this week (blah) good luck to you. Dave had his first class yesterday and it is his last semester! Yay for graduating! I do have news that I am thrilled about though...and that is Pretty Little Liars premiered last night. Wow, okay I know the series is a little bit dramatic but I can't wait to find out what happened with Ally! Anyway, thanks for listening to my rant. Happy Hump Day!

MY LOVE FOR LEATHER AND HAREM PANTS

So yeah I am currently loving leather everything this winter. I just got a jacket with leather sleeves (post to come shortly) and now these leather pocketed harem bottoms. Any more advice on some other leather pieces?? I would enjoy adding more to my so far small collection!

Anyway, now that the holidays are over, I feel so sad that it's back to the routine schedule. Work, school (not me but my husband, which is like me being in school), getting up early, blah! I have to admit I just love lounging around and thinking about doing nothing but just hanging out with the family, going to movies, parties, eating lots of food, and staying in my pajamas. This shoot we actually took meanwhile doing something really cool for my mom for Christmas. That lovely idea will be posted here at the bottom of this entry.

A LITTLE PARK CITY ADVENTURE

It's official. I decided to combine some of my life into my blog. I love running The Salty Mess boutique but it is about time that I put some personality into these blog posts besides me just wearing our clothes and letting you all know what we are selling! :) I feel expressing my lifestyle will make it a lot easier for me to show you my true colors besides my passion for clothing, accessories and everything else! 

So this weekend was really fun! Dave and I got to go on a little adventure to Park City for one night by ourselves (this is a big adventure when you have a kid). We saw the new Catching Fire, shopped until we realized it was way too cold to continue to shop, and had so much fun being together. I feel I am endless smiles and love when I am with him. Anyway, he would only let me post one photo of him and I feel it is a pretty dang cute one. As for me, I was just freezing the entire time up in Park City. I clearly didn't dress appropriately.

I'm in love with this skirt! This is something I normally would not have picked out from a rack, but I love it! I want to wear it everyday! It adds an edginess to any outfit. The plaid brings out Fall and it is such a comfortable shirt. I also wore it more casual, you can check that post out here.

My dad arrives tonight! He is coming out here to spend Thanksgiving with us. I honestly can't believe that it's already the end of November. These holidays are just flying by and it's going to be 2014 before we know it!
