Hello Monday! The weather has warmed up a bit and I just love it. I like the looks of the season but can barely handle how cold it gets! I am the type that always forgets to wear my coat and put warm clothing on so I guess that could be the reason why I hate the cold so much.

As for this outfit, I just love what this top does and says! The bold red trim makes this top fun and we all deserve to fun, right?? Especially with Thanksgiving approaching this weekend! Be sure to keep our shop in mind when it comes to your extreme shopping this week!

Wow, why do weekends go by so fast? Since most of us aren't too excited about Mondays rolling around, I thought it was a good idea to spice things up by letting the fabulous Mikell, from Love & Such take over for the day. Not only is she just darling, but her fashion sense is superb and she is going to help us ALL with some little details of what we can do to spice up our fall ensembles!

I've been so excited to be able to write a guest post here at The Salty Mess!

My name is Mikell and I blog over at Love & Such.

I originally started blogging when my sweet husb and I got married so we could keep our family up to date on our busy lives. My "married life" blog was eventually taken over by my love for beauty & fashion! Although I still love to write posts about married life, family, faith & love, I always find my way back to shopping links and lipstick posts. I chose the name Love & Such for my blog because I have a space all to my own to write about everything I love!

With the Holidays JUST around the corner (no seriously, where has November gone?!) I wanted to share with you my ideal outfit for those upcoming Holiday parties!

I chose a dark accented tulle skirt because nothing says fancy like tulle! I love that it's lightweight & beautifully feminine. I paired it with a chambray shirt to dress it down just slightly. I chose these black Valentino strappy stud heels because, well look at them!! SO Dreamy. I love the classic black which can be paired with anything. I also added them because they are completely out of my price range, and well, a girl can dream can't she?? *Sigh* I chose my idea of perfect accessories to top off this Holiday outfit. Sparkly gold earrings & a gold and pearl necklace.

I'm a total sucker for lip gloss & don't feel completely put together until I've got some shine or color on my lips. I chose a light pink NARS gloss to complete this outfit. I kept with the nude shades for the lip so we didn't distract from the outfit itself!
